Strategic mapping and determination of objectives
It is difficult to make things simple, or at least it requires both experience and effort. It is therefore important to both early and clearly define the working hypothesis about where you are going, and what you have to deal with on the way to the goal.
This is both an important exercise for getting to know the challenges you face, and lays the main basis for learning, adjustment, clarification of expectations, and is the starting point for building functional organisations.
